The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old is a perfectly balanced single malt whisky matured for 18 years in both American and European sherry seasoned oak casks. Sherry seasoned American oak adds delicate vanilla to the subtle spice of European oak, delivering a whisky with a sweeter, warmer taste and character. This can be enjoyed neat or over ice.

Our Double Cask 18 Years Old is a carefully crafted single malt whisky. We continue our whiskys maturation by finishing it in two types of oak, creating a unique harmony within the final product. American oak imparts delicate flavors of vanilla, citrus and butterscotch.

TASTING NOTES

COLOR
Amber honey.

NOSE
Dried fruit, ginger and toffee. Rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.

PALATE
Rich raisin and sultana with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus.

FINISH
Warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
