The driest and most mature malt in the Singleton of Glendullan stable has a clear structure yet still retains its central core of sweet fruit. Medium to full bodied with good viscosity. Very soft, smooth texture with fresh acidity. Finishes soft, dry, and rounded. Distilled in 2001, this 19-year-old Singleton of Glendullan single malt was initially matured in refill American oak casks and finished in ex-Cognac casks before being bottled as part of Diageo’s 2021 Special Releases. Aromas of dried fruit figs and apricots orange peel, fruitcake, vanilla marzipan and butter fill the nose. The palate offers notes of dry oak, green apples, grapes and coconut, with ginger, beeswax and a hint of smoke lingering in the finish.
