Delos follows on from Ultramarine’s lavish seascape, taking its name from a Mediterraneanisland central to Ancient Greek religion.

The inspiration for the second release in the Extinct Blends Quartet is Asyla, one of our own lost whiskies. The original Asyla combined malt whiskies and grain whiskies, aged in American oak, to a 50:50 ratio. When it became impossible to source the components needed, we had to retire Asyla from our core range in 2018. D;
For Delos, we have of course returned to whiskies aged in American oak casks. From there, it is a very different balance. A greater percentage of malt whiskies and higher bottling strength drive a fruitier palate and richer texture. Everything is older, too.

Whiskies from the Cameronbridge and Glen Elgin distilleries once featured in Asyla and make an appearance in Delos. So, too, do someof the last remaining casks of whisky we hold from the closed Imperial Distillery. An extinct dist illery for our own extinct blend.

FLAVOR PROFILE
A sweet succulence that breaks upon the nose in soft waves: ripe pear, pineapple, orange oil and vanilla cream. A medley of fruit tarts and white chocolate soothe the palate, while the matur ity of the component whiskies gradually builds to reveal guava, heather
honey and chai spices.

21.2% Malt whisky from the Miltonduff distillery (First-fill Bourbon barrel)
26.9% Grain whisky from the Cameronbridge distillery (First-fill Bourbon barrel)
