Caperdonich Peated 27 Year Old Single Malt Scotch – Secret Speyside

This 27 year-old Caperdonich Peated single malt has been matured in American oak barrels, bottled at cask strength and without chill-filtration. Smoky and fruity with rich aromas of peat, brilliantly balanced by flavour notes of juicy peach and orange milk chocolate. The finish is long, sweetly peated, with a hint of cinnamon spice.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE:Smoky and fruity with rich aromas of peat brilliantly balanced by notes of juicy peach and orange milk chocolate.

Caperdonich distillery, once stood on the banks of the River Spey, IS NO MORE. A building opened in 1898 and taken down, brick by brick, in 2011. This single malt is all that remains of the whisky from the SECRET WELL. A water spring where, legend tells, clandestine lovers used to meet in the dead of night. A place where distillers have always crafted whisky with passion, letting heart rule over head. While the building may be gone, the distillers craft lives
