Cadenhead Glenburgie Glenlivet 13 Year Scotch underwent a unique aging process, initially spending time in port casks for approximately two years. However, upon assessment, it was deemed that the whisky had been somewhat overwhelmed by the influence of the casks. To balance the flavor profile, the spirit was then transferred into refill bourbon casks for about a year, resulting in a beautifully rounded whisky.
