Stiireadair, translating to ‘Helmsman’ in Scots Gaelic, is the inaugural Bunnahabhain release that pays tribute to the Bunnahabhain Helmsman, a figure that graces every bottle. This Helmsman is more than just an emblem; he serves as a nod to the origins, a connection to the past, and a symbol of the enduring respect for the surrounding sea.

The creation of Stiireadair involved the Master Blender selecting first and second fill sherry casks with spirits of various ages and warehouse locations. This careful selection process results in a dram that truly highlights the coastal character of the Bunnahabhain single malt whisky. At the same time, it maintains the sherry influence that is well-known and loved in the renowned 12-year-old variant.
