Dad was a natural storyteller, captivating audiences with tales of how Bookers Bourbon came to be. One of his favorite stories took place in Chicago. Served a so-called “country ham” that didnt meet his standards, Booker had his own genuine country ham fetched from the trunk of his car, sharing it with the chef and diners, leaving everyone laughing.

Many think Dad was from Bardstown, the Bourbon Capital of the World, but it was Springfield, Ky., where he grew up. This small rural town, about 18 miles down the road, was a farming community when Dad was young. Long before becoming a renowned Master Distiller, he learned the value of hard work as a farm hand in Springfield.

Springfield is also known as the starting point of Abraham Lincolns legacy. But for us, its Dads stories and his connection to this town that stand out. Even after moving away, he frequently returned for family gatherings, holidays, and the Noe family reunion.
