Ardbeg Ardcore is a limited edition Ardbeg, created with charred oak and roasted black malt. Notes of charcoal and sweet smoke make up the nose on this bottle, while potent notes of aniseed and dark chocolate stamp this whisky out as one fit only for the most Ardcore of fans.

If you love peat, power and big personalities then draft in some Ardcore. This single cask whisky is a malt like no other, with notes of roast black malt and sweet smoke creating an in-your-face nose.

COLOR
Pale Straw.

NOSE
Fresh, floral, herbal & tart. Hints of mixed herbs and cedar wood. Very zesty, vibrant, hints of smoked orange & grapefruit, lots of menthol & peppermint. With water, powerful bursts of diesel oil, tar, fresh paint and aniseed. As this dies down, a memory of freshly cut hay, a touch of silage and the tiniest hint of something savoury, like yeast extract or bread dough.

TASTE
A lively, vibrant, sharp, zingy texture, leading into very firm, distinctive flavours malty/biscuit tones, powerful aniseed, cardamon, antiseptic lozenge, sweet mint toffee and cigar ash.

FINISH
Finally, a lingering, salty, firm aftertaste of mint, tar, oak tannin & leather.
