Ideal growing conditions throughout the season ensured both power and balance at this well-established site. Harvested on April 6th, the whole bunches underwent a gentle foot trod before a prolonged press directly into barrel. The entire volume was housed in two large Taransaud casksone new demi-muid and one five-year-old puncheon dedicated exclusively to this vineyards fruit since its inception. A wild fermentation occurred naturally, continuing over the year. After 14 months, the wines were moved to stainless steel while still fermenting a small amount of residual sugar. An additional 12 months in stainless ensured complete dryness and stability, followed by gravity racking and sulphur adjustments to prepare for bottling. The wine underwent full malolactic fermentation and was hand-bottled on June 1, 2023.
