The Hder vineyard, a classified Erste Lage, is located adjacent to the Mnchberg, Haidles top site for Lemberger, at approximately 330 meters above sea level. Hder is flatter and cooler than its neighboring vineyard and this, combined with the gypsum keuper soils, leads to wines with bright acidity, cooler fruit tones and dynamic nuance. Traditionally this wine is fermented with native yeasts in large neutral oak Stckfass, each year, and then aged an addition 10-12 months in stckfass before bottling
