Petaluma Coonawarra has long been the stylish Bordeaux-style red wine from the famous Coonawarra region. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from low yielding vineyards, this ‘Coonawarra’ has been produced from the remarkable 2006 vintage which continues to wine plaudits throughout the wine world. Blackberry, mint and tobacco flavours are framed by fine tannin and supreme length of flavour that is only beginning to hit its straps.

“Steeped in palate-staining flavours of cassis, mulberries, dark plums and cherries, this smooth, elegant and seamless cabernet blend reveals a dusty, slightly leafy aspect. With its layers of concentrated fruit and smoky, roast walnut/chocolate oak supported by fine, grainy tannins, it finishes long and finely balanced, with a lingering impression of blueberries and dark cherries.
