Well- what a vintage. 2020, clearly affected by Covid, is almost miraculously being heralded as one of the best vintages to come out of New Zealand in the last 50 years. A tiny amount of the wine is aged in Oak which just adds a touch (and I do mean a touch) of vanilla and creaminess to the expected refreshing citrus and fruit notes. On first taste I have to agree this tastes like it could be an absolute cracker.
